MPEG2 DICOM files

Is there a project to be able to read mpeg2 video embedded in DICOM files?

I've never had a chance to play with a mpeg2 DICOM file... Does anyone here work with such type of files?

The Synedra viewer can read DICOM MPEG2 files, Etiam Open Lite Box can also.
May be you have just to integrate ffmpg lib to be able to read them??
I can send you a sample file if you need.

I think this type of files can be saved by an operative microscope or endoscope. Zeiss Pentero in its first version uses MPEG2 as a codec for output, which is actually not very good, because their own processing software sucks and windows movie maker doesnt work with MPEG2
