it would be nice to have a button or shortcut to toggle on and toggle off DICOM tags from the images.

Such button (and shortcut) is planned in the next release (along with DICOM overlay support).

This weekend hopefully we'll put up a BETA with DICOM overlays support. It's almost ready, just needs some internal testing.

I will be glad to test it ASAP.

DICOM overlay is the feature I miss most.

I was a bit too optimistic ;-) Some issues came out that need to be resolved before going public with this beta. Sorry for that slight delay.

I hope that we eliminated most of the bugs.
Enjoy :-)

I will update the translation template once a release version is ready. I guess there's gonna be one more beta in a few days.
Later today I will post a list of changes in 0.45

Many thanks for all beta testers.

some more thoughts about the new "hide annotations" feature...

actually it hides DICOM tags over the image (TR, TE, image number etc etc) but the patient's personal data (name, surname, age etc. etc) are still shown in the brown bars above the image viewports and the series preview toolbar.

this prevents using Radiant Viewer in teaching sessions or congress talks becuase of privacy issues... there's no way actually to display images without hiding patients names.

the only way to do it is to process the DICOM files with DICOM anonymizer softwares but it's time consuming

Tommy, I've also noticed this nuisance ;-) I think, we'll add a mode where all patient's data are hidden.

Thanks for a suggestion.

I was thinking about 2 workarounds to hide patient data in the "brown bars".

1- button to toggle on/off those brown bars just like the "fullscreen" button that toggles on/off the Windows blue bar

2- if the brown bars cannot be toogles off you can have a button to change the font color of those bars into brown... so brown text over brown background will make text invisible.

assaid before you still can't use Radiant Viewer in teaching sessions or congress talks because of privacy issues since there's no way to completely hide patients names.

I think this feature will be implemented as first of those three that you re-requested recently. It will definitely make RadiAnt a better teaching tool.

Javier, this is "normal" - all unavailable files are redirected to the latest release.

the hide patient data feature (SHIFT + F12) you added in beta 1.3.9 is amazing!!!
no more privacy issues with RadiAnt.

Hello, I need to know if it is possible to customize the overlays to be shown, for example depending on the modality.
Thank you

Hi Irene,

Yes, you can customize overlays (globally or by modality) by editing the overlay.xml file:

There is no DICOM anonymization feature in RadiAnt yet. You can only hide the patient data on the screen or in exported JPEG images.
