DICOM Viewer gets stuck on CT CDs with more than 2000 images [resolved]

I have the latest version of DICOM Viewer version 2020.1 (Windows 10 x64 ) and very often the program is getting stuck when reading CT CDs with more than 2000 items.

You can see a message in the status bar "Scanning folder... (219 items left)" and the program is usable but hanging when trying to see last images and should be forcibly closed.


Tried on the older versions of the software and it works. Tried the latest beta, also does not work. Other DICOM Viewer on the same machine opens the same CD with ease , for example microdicom.com tool

Please help us to fix this issue.
