Displaying an X-Ray DICOM

What is the transformation that RadiAnt uses to display an x-ray DICOM file? When I re-scale the intensities of the pixels from 0 to 255 while displaying my x-ray dcm file, I get an image which is different from what radiAnt produces.

What you described is the "full dynamic" window settings.
Perhaps you have some narrower window set in RadiAnt and hence the image looks different.
