RadiAnt DICOM Viewer Beta
build on March 19, 2016

New features:

New actions in the VR window:
Restore volume (Ctrl + Alt + 0)
Fit volume (Ctrl + 0)
Default window (0)
Reset scene (Ctrl + R) -> applies all the above

I take the liberty to open a new thread about the latest beta.

There are considerable improvements, and I also report the addition of rotation presets (anterior, posterior, superior, inferior, left, right) which is not listed in the release notes.

An "undo scalpel" has been added too... anyway actually it only restores the volume to the original uncropped status, while it would be nice to have an "undo last scalpel" which should function like a "Ctrl+Z".

if you do 5 cuts over a volume but the last one is wrong, it would be nice to to just revert the last one, instead of reverting all the cuts.
but I suppose this will be addressed in next betas.

again, thanks Marko for making this software always better.

cheers, Tommy

Tommy, thanks for starting this topic :-)

Actually the rotation presets were available in the previous version (by keyboard shortcuts).

The scalpel undo can take some time to make it work efficiently and without too much memory overhead. We'll postpone this feature for the next releases. We could think of many more additional features for the VR that we could add over the next 12 months or longer...

If we don't find any issues this is the last beta with the VR. The next one will be a release candidate.

No problem, Tommy.
The improvements are evolutionary, that's the nature of our development process.
But at long last we'll be moving on the oblique MPR pretty soon ;-)
