we talked about this in private mail but since it's a good idea I decided to post in the forum as well.
user should be able to select "key images" across various series by means of an hotkey or a button (other viewers like eFilm and K-PACS let you highlight or tag a small box in the upper left corner of the image).
selected images are considered "key images" and then could be exported as jpeg/DICOM (actually export has only "current image", "current series" or "entire exam" options) and in the future sent to DICOM print or saved as an additional "summary series" inside the PACS

The key images feature is not yet available in RadiAnt.
