split series into single images (US and CR/DX studies)

RadiAnt currently displays each series in a single viewport in "stack mode".
this is the best way to visualize images in CT and MRI.

however if you review US or CR/DR images where multiple single images are saved into a single series, it would be better to have an option to show each image in a different viewport.

let's say I have an US exham of 8 images that is saved in a single DICOM series...
I'd like to split the RadiAnt window in 8 viewports, each one showing a different image.

actually I have to load the same series in 8 different viewports and scroll each one to the desired image... quite cumbersone.

I know that other DICOM viewers allow to split each viewport in multiple squares.

if you select 1 image per viewport you have the "stack mode" just like RadiAnt, but you can also decide to have the option to divide the viewport in 2x2, 3x3, 4x2, 4x3 etc. etc.

Sure, Tommy, I get your point. However, splitting one viewport in multiple "squares" is a rather major work. The rewriting of the viewport code is inevitable at some point but currently our schedule is tight.
Alternatively, we could make a CR/US series split into multiple viewports with single images.

yesterday I found that in the options.xml there's this setting:

<ussep>0</ussep> <!-- show separate thumbnails for single frame ultrasound images belonging to the same DICOM series (0 - disabled, 1 - enabled) -->

basically RadiAnt can already do the separation of US series if you manually edit the .xml code.

so I wonder a "button" in the GUI or a submenu item could be added to enable/disable the .xml setting

useful to split "triplane" MRI localizers as well

You are welcome! It splits anything that does not form a volume.
