Study Loading as Single Files...

I am having a problem loading some MRI studies. They are all loading into RadiAnt as single files instead of as combined studies. I looked at the DICOM headers, and it seems that the InstanceNumber is incrementing. The files also have the same study number (key for association?). But, another tool is also unable to correctly load these files, so there is something atypical about them.

The MRI scanner is a Philips Intera scanner (1.5T) -- probably an older model. Maybe you can check with Philips(?)

It would be nice to be able to combine them in RadiAnt. For example, if you allowed multi-select, I could select a range of images and choose an option like "Combine into a single study." Then, RadiAnt would automatically modify the DICOM data as needed.

Alternately, if RadiAnt sees the same study number and incrementing InstanceNumbers, it could just associate and loadthe files as a study.

Is there anything you can do to help with this issue?

Thanks!

I suffer from similar problem.

My (3rd party) MRI provider sends studies with different Patient Name (All uppercase /First Uppercase) inside one study. Study Instance UID is preserved. I don't know why is that - but I can't change it currently on the provider side.

DICOMLemur, could you contact us at https://www.radiantviewer.com/contact/ and provide as with a few sample files that won't go into the same study?

OK - I need to check to see if I can anonymize the data or get approval. I will see what I can find out.

But...in the mean time, I will say that the RadiAnt team and product are awesome!

After anonymizing a few of the files with Matlab, the files then load as a single study and Schroedinger's cat suddenly retires to a pan-dimensional catnip palace. -_- But, the other app still won't load the DICOM headers. There is something clearly goofy. I'm still trying and will report back. Alternately, if you have any Philips contacts regarding the Intera 1.5T, that might also be helpful.

Tried to selectively edit the header with the DVTK Editor - it screws up the files, unfortunately.
