US Series

Hi. Can someone please explain why some folders will open with US 1 series in the thumbnail, and on the picture there is a number at the bottom right corner (multiple images within the series) while other folders open as US 44(example) and has the individual images open. My reason is that most patients have at least a couple of US DICOM with motion images of the heart. All the folders that open with US 1 series, are not able to play the motion images, however the folders that open the series indivially are, yet they are all saved the same way?

Hi! Some scanners (GE mostly) are notorious for saving the cine series encoded in a proprietary format (unreadable in RadiAnt) with only one frame available in standard DICOM encoding. This might be the case with your studies.

Is there anyway to export the cine series other than through the GE software?

I'm afraid this can only be done by configuring the scanner to export a CINE series in a common DICOM format (not a proprietary one).
