Is there any chance for that kind of functionality as in Osirix? A lot of my friends would pay resonable money instead to be forced to switch for Apple (Osirix)

This feature in its first iteration probably won't have the "scalpel" feature to cut out borders. It is certainly planned somewhere along the way, however.
