Limited measurement tools

Hi, I am a fan of Radiant Dicom viewer. I am working with it for more than 4 years on a daily basis. However, measurement tools are very limited and this is why I have to purchase other software. I noticed a lot of progression but no significant change in measurement tools, such as area (2D and 3D), volume . Doppler studies measurement such as VTI, and etc. Hope to see such improvements in this convenient, and fast viewer.

Hi,

Thank you for choosing RadiAnt and your kind words.
We will certainly add new measurement tools in the future.
Check us back once in a while.

Greetings,

any news for new measurement tools, such as doppler for echo, area for 2D and CT, or volume for CT?

No, currently we're still working on the 3D oblique MPR feature.

Now that 3D oblique MPR is up and running, it would be great to compliment this with a few additional measurement tools...most importantly a free-style ROI that would allow an 'Area' to measued eg aortic annulus or valve area. For example, at the moment, the 3D MPR gives all the capability to get the right views to measure valve area for TAVI...but you cannot actually measure it (other than a rough ellipsoid measure). It sames like it would be a very quick modification, with a huge impact

Thanks for your feedback. We will try to prioritize the free-hand area measurement tool.

Hello,

I am looking to use a dicom viewer that can measure VTI. Do you have that option?

No, currently VTI measurement is not possible in RadiAnt.
We will consider adding this in future releases.

Hello,
are you planning to add volume measurement tools?
I'm particularly interested in using this tool to measure stroke lesion volume (which is necessary to select patients suitable to be treated with mechanical thrombectomy in the 6 to 24 hour window).
Thanks!

Pedro, in the nearest future we don't plan to add volume measurement tools, I'm afraid. We have a few top-priority features that need to be implemented first.

Hi all

Recent MPR & 3D updates have been really neat - great work, great product

However, there are a few basic measurement tools that would really help - mainly a free draw or polygon click ROI for area as others have mentioned

If this option could be added in the main screen and in the 3D-oblique MPR screen this would rapidly lead to many uses for Radiant

For example at the moment I can review a cardiac CT for the aortic valve with Radiant; and bring it into plane using 3D-oblique MPR - but I then can't measure its area ....which is pretty fundamental.

Hoping to see this simple addition soon

Thank you for your kind words and suggestions. We're aware that there are still many features missing in RadiAnt. We will try to add some kind of non-circular area measurements as soon as possible.

It has been almost 3 years since the measurement tool was supposed to be added as soon as possible, but there still doesn't seem to be a way to do this. Even the ellipse tool is borderline misleading since it only works on whole pixels you can see when holding CTRL, not on the actual ellipse drawn. If you counted the pixels partially overlapped according to how much they overlap, it would be a much better tool. Adding that feature for the closed polygon is also sorely needed. And if you want to be really awesome you add a feature to select a contour line with a single click. At that point it would be worth installing RadiAnt by default with proper licenses.

Are you working on a different tool, other than "scalpel", to visualize vessels without bone overlap (like tools used by Siemens on Syngovia or CT Angio on GE WS)? It will be very useful expecially in neuro examinations, eg. Willis polygon visualization.

@TB

Thank you for your suggestions!

@italian radiologist

In future versions we will probably add some automatic bone removal tool.
No specific time-frame at this moment.

Excellent software. It would be great for surgical planning if we could measure volumetric distances in the volume rendered images and not just the sigle plane lenght tool. Thank you.

Hi Radiant,

Do you have ortho planning tools available? If so how can I use them. This is the main limitation right now we have is that in our surgery areas who use this type of client software the measurement tools appear to not exist. Please advise.

Thank you!

Hi,

Currently only the basic set of tools is available: https://www.radiantviewer.com/dicom-viewer-manual/using_basic_tools.html

Hello. Thank you for Radiant. It would be really great if you can volume measurements especially for SUV soon. Currently I am using 2 viewers just to get accurate SUVs. Blessings

I am a bit disappointed that volume measurement, labelling and linear ratio calculation tools are still not available in your viewer, features that are quite standard in other viewers, even the simpler ones. When are you going to add these features?

Length ratio and ellipsoid volume calculations are already available in the latest version :-)
